Puzzle 14 - Polyominous 5

I was starting a puzzle, and was thinking...  "What is the biggest rectangle I can fit on this piece of graph paper?"  It turned out to be 30x42.  Then this thing came out, after several days of making, testing, and fixing.

Puzzle 12 - Slitherlink 4

I always make these really horribly or really well.  This one ended up really good :D  It's so hard, I got stuck while test solving it...

Puzzle 10 - Straight and Arrow 1

Rules - Straight and Arrow

Straight and Arrow was invented by the Japanese puzzle company Nikoli.  The name comes from mathgrant.

1. Draw a single loop that connects the centers of the grid cells.
2. The loop may only travel horizontally or vertically, not diagonally (so all turns are right angles).
3. The loop may only turn at the centers of the grid cells.
4. The loop may not cross itself or branch off.
5. The loop may not go through any cells with a number in it.
6. Any cell that does not have an arrow or is part of the loop must be shaded black.
7. No other cells may be black.
8. No two black cells may share an edge.
9. A cell with a number and an arrow show how many black cells are in the row or column pointed at by the arrow.

Puzzle 9 - Polyominous 4

This puzzle is dedicated to my favorite number, e.  I would have gone a few more digits in if there wasn't a stupid 0 in it...  If I had started this blog sooner I would have made a pi one but it's too late now.

On the puzzle itself, it's actually quite different than what I'm used to...  I think it's interesting.

Puzzle 8 - Slitherlink 3

I decided on a really bad pattern for the givens...  This one is too easy.  Oh well.

Puzzle 7 - Polyominous 3

I really like the bottom of this one...

Puzzle 6 - Room and Reason 2

This one took ages.  I kept finding mistakes and trying to fix them, and at one point scrapped a third of the whole thing.  But it finally came out fine.

Puzzle 5 - Room and Reason 1

Rules - Room and Reason

Room and Reason was invented by the Japanese puzzle company Nikoli.  The name is from mathgrant.

1. Make each cell white or black.
2. The grid is divided into rectangular "rooms".  Rooms with numbers in their corners must have that number of black cells in them.  Rooms without numbers may have any number of black cells in them.
3. White cells may not go through more than two rooms in an uninterrupted horizontal or vertical line.
4. No two black cells may share an edge.
5. All white cells must be connected to each other through their edges.

Puzzle 4 - Slitherlink 2

This one is a lot better.

Puzzle 3 - Slitherlink 1

I feel like this one is kind of lame...  There's only a couple interesting things to it.

Rules - Slitherlink

Slitherlink was invented by the Japanese puzzle company Nikoli.

1. Draw a single loop that connects the dots on the grid.
2. The loop may only travel horizontally and vertically, not diagonally (so all turns are right angles).
3. The loop may only turn at the dots.
4. The loop may not cross itself or branch off.
5. All numbers inside the grid indicate how many sides around it are in the loop.
